‘Crimson Queen’ is a small red weeping Japanese maple. As the spring colors unfold, this is one of the best trees for deep crimson-purple reds. During the summer months, ‘Crimson Queen’ holds its color well. The fall color of this Japanese maple is a bright crimson red.

Intricate filigree foliage that emerges rich burgundy red in spring and holds its colour well through the season before changing to bright crimson red in autumn. This is a delightful weeping variety that will attain no more than 3 metres tall and wide after 20 years. Perfect for containers or a focal point and looks great planted at the edge of a pond where its attractive colour and for will be reflected in the water.

Comments: Summer leaves are greenish-red with red veins. Blazing red in fall. Classed as semi dwarf; occasionally puts out longer branches that can be pruned, if desired. Great color accent, adapts well to containers.
